HOLMES SHERLOCK MURDERS Are you alright old boy? Asked Watson after literally breezing into the room and casting off his wet cloak into the hands of an ever eager to please house maid. Holmes turned graven faced. Yes of course. He said. I'm fine just rather eager to get on. I have a long list of fingerprints to check and I need your help. Although this could result in a rather ugly scandal that may affect the monarchy itself. Oh dear, Exclaimed Watson with an unexpected grin. Justice must prevail. He went over to the fire, warming his hands. Now where's the brandy. I'm freezing to death. I know it sounds strange Sherlock but between you and me that girl gives me the shivers I Can't work out if it's a feeling of love, infatuation or just the horrors I'm so confused. He stopped and took a large swig of brandy. Quite. Said Holmes deep in thought. He too had trouble trying to analyse Marie. She's a bit of a chameleon John. But she's not evil. Of that I am positive.

HOLMES SHERLOCK MURDERS Doctor Watson sat uneasily in his cab with Marie beside him on the journey back to London. They spoke little and glanced at each other coyly on occasion She thinking that he was so in lover with her it affected his speech and He thinking something different entirely, more so a feeling of suffocation enveloping him. But he could not quite put his finger on it as to why? Then he remembered, it was when Holmes said she'd eaten the dead. He was an honest man and didn't want his love and attraction for her to wane so he just came right out with it and asked her. Marie my dear May I ask you a very personal question? Of course John what is it? She thought that maybe he would propose. Have you eaten the dead at all? He said it so fast for fear he'd never be able to say those words. She giggled showing small ivory teeth. Whatever makes you ask such a thing? Of course not . She replied still smiling. Oh do forgive me my dear silly me just something Holmes said. For a tiny moment a crease of anger crossed her brow. He watched her closely. Once back in Baker street they alighted to their separate apartments waving to each other and Marie blowing kisses. Sherlock watched them with a sigh of boredom from his room.

The night air was almost freezing by the river thames and it took his breathe away momentarily. Why it's you the great Sherlock Holmes. He exclaimed. Holmes put out one long finger as he approached the man and lifted his open jaw closing it shut. I have a bone to pick with you old man. You sent these boys to rob me didn't you? Now whom are you working for. Don't try to escape. He added noting the man's quickly moving eyes towards his waiting cab. I can't tell you that. He whispered struggling for breathe against the cold wind. Then I shall make you tell. Said Sherlck swiftly lifting the man up and dangling him over the side of the bridge with little effort. The boy's began to giggle. Silence commanded Holmes. The noise of the river was loud enough without them blocking his ears from truth. The man struggled his arms flailing about in terror. His hat and the contents of his pockets were cast down into the deep river. Now don't struggle or I may have to drop you. Who sent you? He asked politely. He let go of one ankle. I won't ask again Sir my grip is weakening. I shall never tell my life and mortal soul depend on my silence have mercy Sir. Sherlock contemplated for a moment then let him go. There was no splash the wind was all he could hear. Why did you let him go mister Holmes? asked the boy. He would have caused more trouble. Said Holmes Now I have work to do.
